With responsibility for promoting volunteering opportunities across the Generations Together Project and brokering individuals into those opportunities, the successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of and commitment to good practice in volunteering and a track record of brokering volunteers. An understanding of the needs of those over 50 years old and a friendly and approachable manner are essential to the role.

GVOC hosts the Gateshead Local Involvement Network (LINk), an initiative for Gateshead people with an interest in improving health and social care services. The successful candidate will support the LINk by undertaking general office duties including filing, keyboard work, data base, petty cash, minute taking and maintaining office systems, the role also requires someone who can use their own initiative; works well with people and is a good team player.

The Restaurant is very popular due to the beautiful surroundings and excellent reputation for good food and a quality service.
Duties will include basic food preparation, cleaning, washing dishes and food service. The Restaurant is open 7 days per week; the hours are flexible (As and when required). The candidates will need a patient friendly attitude.
Some cooking/catering experience and an awareness of basic food hygiene standards are desirable, but not essential, as training will be given.
