What is BECON?
BECON (Black Minority Ethnic Community Organisations Network) is the
regional infrastructure organisation for the Black Minority Ethnic
(BME) voluntary and community sector in the North East of England. The
project was established in1999 to encourage participation and develop
the networks and the capacity of Black Minority Ethnic (BME) community
groups and organisations in the North East region.
