This celebration will be with a range of events. These events will be based on the themes of 'Say No to Discrimination' and 'Working together for Respect and Harmony.'
 
NCP would like to invite you to make contributions to the exhibition.  There will be a competition and the winning pieces will be included in the permanent display.  We are looking for different kinds of work for the exhibition including paintings, drawings, short stories, poetry, sculptures or models.  The only rule is that they must represent one or both or our themes of 'Say No to Discrimination' and 'Working together for Respect and Harmony.'

 After the 6 May general elections, the UK now has a new coalition government between the Conservative Party and the Liberal Democrats. While the two parties fought the elections on different priorities, a coalition document has now been published that lists common priorities for the coalition government. On Saturday 29th May, Newcastle city centre will become the focus of two marches.  One organised by the EDL and the other by Unite Against Fascism (UAF).  A number of other planned events have also been organised for this bank holiday weekend, making the city an extremely busy place.

BECON is to hold a funding application advice workshop to discuss recent failed funding bids submitted by groups across the region.
BECON is to invite one or two funding bodies along to directly answer your questions!


It seems more and more groups/organisations are experiencing failed funding bids as there appears to be less money and an increase in applications funding applications.

How can you ensure your application has the best chance of success? Come along and find out!
